At Sunflower SLT, the sunflower is more than a symbol - it reflects the optimism and hope every family deserves. Just as young sunflowers turn towards the light to grow, children look to the adults around them for understanding, support and encouragement.

As a parent of neurodivergent children, I know how important it is to be able to advocate confidently for your child’s needs. My role is to help you understand your child’s strengths and differences, while supporting them to develop their own self‑advocacy skills.

I prioritise open communication with families and the wider team so that we can build a complete picture of your child and support their skills in meaningful, everyday interactions.

I also believe in the power of collaboration: parents are the key people in a child’s life, and my aim is to educate and empower you with practical knowledge and strategies that truly make a difference.

Sunflower SLT uses a neuro‑affirming approach, placing each child’s unique strengths and interests at the centre. Together, we choose communication approaches that align with your child’s needs and your family’s values - helping them grow confidently, in their own way.
